National Scrapbook Day! – Challenge # 1

Today is National Scrapbook Day and I am tagging along to mypinkstamper.com challenges. I was up really early (for me) so I can watch and start watching the blog and the challenges. The first challenge was creating a Mother’s day card. Here is my version….

Well we know my mom had 4 kids so I decided to use the Create a Critter cartridge along with the Mother 2010 cartridge for this card. I also used my cuttlebug. The card is 5 1/2″ x 8″. The monkeys were cut at 2 1/4″, Mama was cut at 2″. I used the Animal Crackers stack from DCWV for the pink leaves back ground. I used basic pink, lime, hot pink, black, beige, brown and green card stock from Recollecitions (sold at Michaels).

Card for 365 Cards – Day 56 Challenge

Decided to make this special card for a very special person. She is expecting and I thought this would be a nice card.

I used the “New Arrival” Cricut Cartridge to create the card. I also used the cuttlebug “swirls” to give texture to the background.

I used the Animal Crackers Stack for the glittery green “ribbon”.

I also used the Storybook cartridge to cut the stork’s back drop. I used the scallop on page 40 and cut it at 2 1/2″ The stork was cut at 2″. The rattles were cut at 1 1/4″ inches.

Giraffe Card

It is early, just before 8 a.m. and 2 nights ago my daughter decided she wanted us to make a card for her best friend. It gave me an excuse to use my “Create a Critter” new cartridge so we came up with this cute giraffe card. The two giraffes were made using basic card stock from Michael’s and patterned paper from the Big Stack and Martha Stewart. They were cut at 3 1/2″ inches.
